IN COLLABORATION WITH BRUNA MELO, CLAUDIA FIALHO, INES CARVALHO, INES FIGUEIREDO, MONICA PACHECO AND PEDRO OLIVEIRA

Renovation of a typical Nineteenth Century house of Porto, 3 and 4 storey high, to convert it into service apartments.

The staircase in the middle of the building was maintained, as one of the most important characteristics of this typical houses within the historical centre of Porto, classified as World Heritage by UNESCO. A cube combining sanitary facilities, kitchen and retractable bed was designed inside each apartment, which can be closed or kept open to change the space around it.
